First Results from FoodIntegrity Project: Olive Oil Case Study

A contribution to solving the olive oil mystery

We all have heard about it the amount of olive trees in Italy not matching the volume of olive oil sold as Italian olive oil, and the extra virgin label on the bottle of olive oil that you buy in the supermarket not matching the quality of the olive oil inside that bottle. But as a part of the FoodIntegrity feasibility study, Organic Services has set out to dive into the deep depth of the olive oil mystery. And we are glad to report that we are coming back up to the surface now with an Olive Oil Case Study that provides a thorough understanding of the Where and How of fraudulent practices in the olive oil sector as well as a first concept of how the different modules of the cloud-based integrity management tool Check X could be applied in the olive oil sector to detect and prevent these practices.
