Since organic products sell for higher prices than conventional ones, the organic sector is highly attractive for fraudsters. Check Organic offers you an easy-to-use online solution to prove that you are not one of them, and that you are willing to actively reveal food fraud at its very source. Mapping and linking certification and transaction data of organic products in real-time, the tool goes beyond easily falsifiable, paper-based organic certificates.
Based on the certified organic acreage, expected yield and actual product transactions, the system calculates a mass balance and checks the plausibility of produced vs. sold organic quantities, displaying your and your suppliers' integrity status via an intuitive traffic light system. With a few clicks, you can get an overview of complex supply chains and view your own and your suppliers' available product volumes. The system makes all information relevant for a purchase decision available through a comprehensive dashboard.
If you are worried about false deliveries, mislabelling, additives, substitutes, dilution and contamination, Check Organic helps you to detect fraud within supply chains, reducing your risk profile and protecting your reputation. Your transparency and proficiency ideally prepare you for audits and inspections, even on short notice. Digitising your certification and transaction data within the online platform prevents you from losing precious data, which is safely stored with an ISO-certified Austrian hosting provider. To secure proprietary company data, your business connections cannot be viewed by competitors.
With Check Organic, you minimise compliance problems and product recalls whilst saving money at the same time. The non-analytical approach to detect irregularities is much less expensive than extensive lab-testing. It further reduces your administrative workload by saving you precious time that you would usually need to check certificates or phone up certifiers in order to validate your business partner's integrity. If irregularities are detected, Check Organic's mapping tool makes it easy for you to get a quick overview of all parties involved in a product's supply chain, allowing for efficient communication and investigation.
By uploading your data into Check Organic, your business becomes more accessible and visible to the industry. The platform allows you to connect to potential business partners worldwide whilst displaying integrity and professionalism. Your business partners will appreciate your level of transparency, which strongly differentiates you from your competitors.
To access and manage his data in Check Organic, Mike gets on his computer and logs into the Web Portal with his username and password.
His data, such as contact details, range of products, applied certification standards and correlating certification status, as well as information on his designated certification body are stored safely in Check Organic.
As Mike wants to give his business partners a good impression of what he does, he uses the Check Organic file upload to provide additional documents which underpin his integrity (such as photos from his products and warehouse, analysis reports, etc.)
In order to book transactions and document his business relations in Check Organic, Mike manages his suppliers in lists and thereby sets up his supply chains in the system. In case he has a supply shortage from one of his farmers, he can search the Check Organic database to find alternative suppliers and integrate them in his supply chains.
Within a few clicks, Mike can visualise his supply chains. Instead of working with complex calculation sheets and its error-prone diagrams, he uses Check Organic to get a quick overview of his supply structures. Here, he can see all involved actors with their respective integrity status (one traffic light for the certification check, one for the mass balance check). Practically, he can have them all displayed within a simple graph or even localised on a world map.
Every time Mike buys tomatoes from his farmers or sells them on to his clients, he creates a transaction in Check Organic and thereby neatly documents both his purchases and sales.
In the background, Check Organic automatically calculates a mass balance that compares whether the certified organic production capabilities of his suppliers match the production capabilities and quantities that they have delivered.
A traffic light displays both his suppliers’ certification checks as well as the mass balance checks of each delivery. If all is green, he can be sure that nobody has tried to trick him. If the traffic light is yellow or red, something is wrong with his suppliers down the line and Mike needs to trigger investigations. If the status is grey, more information is required.
Ever since Mike uses Check Organic, he has established a new routine: he starts his working day with a quick glimpse at the Check Organic Dashboard. It provides a great overview about his own and the integrity status of his suppliers. This way, he knows right away if there are any irregularities that require investigation.
Mike is a busy man: he can't sit in front of his computer all day checking if any traffic lights are going red. In order for him to be always up to date, he receives notifications from Check Organic that inform him about any status changes.
Mike's company runs its day to day business operations with the help of a ERP system. A set up interface enables him to transfer all relevant data into Check Organic within just a few clicks, saving him precious time that he would otherwise spend on manual data entry.
Once a week, Mike and his colleagues have a meeting where all buyers and sellers coordinate their activities. Thanks to the export, report and analysis functions of Check Organic, Mike is always well prepared and able to underpin his arguments with meaningful statistics.
